About the Book

The present book is an outcome of research study aimed to find out the impact of modernization on the educated section of Indian youth. The study sets both the problems of youth and impact of modernization in a new perspective. In particular, subjects like social change, modernization and sociology of youth, and concepts like cosmopoliteness, empathy and fatalism and activism have been discussed as emerging dimension of modernization process. The most outstanding feature of the book is that it has attempted to reveal the social reality in terms of the values of youth in India.
