About the Book

John Rawls (1921–2002) is one of the leading political philosophers of the twentieth century. His seminal work A Theory of Justice (1971) revived normative political theory and reshaped contemporary political theory. His theory has influenced philosophy, politics, law and economics in more than one way.

About the Author / Editor

Naresh Dadhich is the former Vice-Chancellor (2006–2013) of Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota. Until his superannuation in 2016, he has  rendered his services as Professor of Political Science and was also the Head of Department of  Political Science, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. His special academic interest areas are Political Theory, Gandhian Thought and Peace and Nonviolence. Dadhich has written books in these areas, both in Hindi and English including Gandhi and Existentialism and Contemporary Political Theory.
