About the Book
This book tries to examine the issues of international migration of Indians to the Persian Gulf countries in the era of globalization. It analyses the diverse situations in which Indian immigrant community work in the Gulf countries and the kind of problems they face. Not only does it discuss the consequences of migration on migrants and their families back home, it also addresses their issues and concerns after returning back to the homeland. By way of doing this, the book also touches upon the migrant policy issues of the home country as well as the host countries. This book will be useful not only to sociologists but also to scholars working in the fields of anthropology, political science, geography, history, literary, cultural, ethnic and migration studies.
